 Assistant Account Manager (Personal Lines)

We are looking for an Assistant Account Manager to support our growing Personal Lines team!

This new role is for someone with exceptional organizational and customer service abilities who wants to develop professionally. The successful candidate will be put on the path to becoming a registered insurance broker within the first three months of hire and will work directly to support our team of Account Managers. What you would do:

  • Support existing and prospective clients in determining their insurance needs.
  • Complete quote requests in our quotation management systems as directed by the Account Managers.
  • Compile electronic application packages for customers as directed by the Account Managers.
  • Present options for the necessary automobile, property, marine, etc. policies to ensure clients can make informed decisions.
  • Identify ongoing coverage needs or opportunities for existing clients regarding their policies, including thorough renewal reviews.
  • Assist clients with policy-related changes and inquiries.
  • Navigate the claims process with clients when a loss is incurred.
  • Research and resolve client problems, acting as the liaison between insurers when necessary.
  • Keep apprised of industry trends, changes, and opportunities as they relate to our clients.

What your background would look like

  • 2+ years of work experience in a role with a strong administrative component from a business, sales, finance, planning, marketing, or other fields where your success is demonstrable is valued.
  • Post-secondary education or an equivalent of relevant experience is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint & Teams.
  • Experience in working with a customer management system is ideal.
  • Insurance experience and knowledge of Power Broker or other Broker Management Systems is an asset but not a deal-breaker.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
